Mixed Purple Wig from TinyUnicorn Review


Hey all! I love this multicolored purple wig from TinyUnicorn. It is great for us cosplayers who like to do our original characters.

About the Product: This is the third wig I have gotten to review from TinyUnicorn and, like the others, I love the mix of multiple colors woven into the wigs. In this wig, the main color is a purple with the tips being a light lavender color. The lavender tips really make the wig pop. I tested the wig with a hair straightener and it is heat resistant which is always good for cosplayers as it allows us to style the wigs as we need. The curls at the bottom help keep the wig from tangling and I would recommend combing through it with your fingers rather than a brush to help keep the natural bounciness of the curls. Like most wig companies, TinyUnicorn sends you a free wig cap with the wig. The one thing that needs improvement with the wig is the thinness. As you can see in the pictures, there isn't much hair around my shoulders. If you are skilled with wigs, it would be worth buying two and sewing them together to get the nice volume needed to really make the wig stand out, especially if you are like me and like to take a lot of professional photos. Otherwise, it is a great wig for the price and even buying two of these wigs from is way cheaper than buying a wig from Arda, especially as the overall quality of the wig is good and it is something you can style.


Cosplay Applications: This wig is great for original characters or going out to a rave.

Sound the Gong by Joan He

I bought "Sound the Gong" by Joan He as it was the sequel to "Strike the Zither" which I have read before and loved.  Though it is a sequel, it is meant to be read right after "Strike the Zither" and should probably be considered one book broken up into two parts and read together.  I would not read "Sound the Gong" as a stand alone.  The series is roughly based off the story of the Three Kingdoms, but with a mainly female cast.  "Sound the Gong" starts off right after Zephyr makes the betrayal realization at the end of "Strike the Zither."  It follows Zephyr's journey as she must decide what she is willing to sacrifice to get a chance to change fate and meet her goals to lead Xin Ren to victory.  Without giving too much away, it is a story of betrayal, forgiveness, hope, despair, and so much more in an emotional rollercoaster.  Will Zephyr ultimately get what she wants or will she have lost everything just for the chance?...
